Candles for Sophie
Candles lid for Sophie Delezio outside Sydney Children's Hospital.
Sydney Children's Hospital is about 500 metres from my place. I took this photo on my way home last night. The photo was taken with my SonyEricsson K750i mobile phone (flash turned off) at midnight. It was cold out there.
Sydney's 5 year old girl Sophie Delezio was severely injured when an elder man drove a car hit into her day-care centre in December 2003, she was only 2. Sophie was hit again by a car driven (yet again) by another elder driver. She was thrown 18 metres from a pedestrian crossing.
