Last Monday was a big night for Channel Seven. They aired Commander in Chief after the Desperate Housewives. However they did not air on their advertised time, about 6 minutes late. Tonight, it will be back to the regular 8:40 PM for my favourite Desperate Housewives, and followed by Commander in Chief at 9:40PM.

As Mackenzie Allen makes the challenging transition into the office of the president, among her first orders of business is selecting a vice president, a situation Nathan Templeton tries to manipulate to his advantage. Meanwhile, her former speechwriter, Kelly Ludlow, learns the ropes the hard way and Mac's daughter, Rebecca, faces a teenager's worst nightmare when her diary, which contains sensitive information about her mother, goes missing, causing a potential crisis.

Last week on Desperate Housewives, Gabrielle caused a prison riot while visiting Carlos, then she had a conjugal visits. Lynette's son Parker had an imaginary friend, the Mary Poppins-like Mrs. Mulberry. Parker slept with an umbrella. George showed up unexpectedly at Andrew's swim meet and presented Bree with a "farewell gift" - some rare china that had her hugging him in thanks. George kissed her and Andrew was so incensed he jumped out of the pool and started hitting him. Andrew was next seen packing for camp.

Last week in the White House (on Commander in Chief), Mackenzie Allen, the 45-year-old Independent Vice President of the United States, ventured into territory no woman has traversed before. She became the first female President of the United States, against the dying President's wish.
