and the winners are...

The results of the 63rd annual Golden Globe Awards are out.
None of the housewives won the Best Actress in TV Series, but Desperate Housewives won the best TV Series (Musical Or Comedy). A bit disappoint to the housewives. In the Actress In A TV Series (Musical Or Comedy) category, all four housewives lost to Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds).
Other highlights: Lost won the best TV Series (Drama). Felicity Huffman won the best Actress (Drama) for the movie Transamerica. Sir Anthony Hopkins won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Overall, the alternative lifestyles win this year's Globe, or gay is the common word.
A gay romance cowboy movie "Brokeback Mountain" won the Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Song. "Transamerica" star Felicity Huffman won best drama actress for her role as a man having a sex change operation. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played the gay title role in "Capote," won best drama actor.

Brokeback Mountain will be shown in Australian cinemas from Australia Day. Oscar nominations come out January 31, with the awards presented March 5.
