Continued from yesterday's problem with my iPod. I took my iPod to local Apple retailer, I can't believe how easy it is to get serviced.

I was expecting to explain to them exactly what happened, and they would test it over there (and try to restore the iPod for me.) Instead, they saw the “folder and exclamation icon” and told me it would be sent to their service centre which is in North Sydney today. They simply checked the serial number, and they said, it's under AppleCare Protection Plan. They didn't even need to see the original receipt.

To get my iPod serviced is so hassle free, they did not need to see the original receipt, they did not even test it. With AppleCare Protection Plan, everything is so simple. Well, I will have few days without my iPod.

I could have sped up the service a bit by taking my iPod to Service Centre myself, but I don't have time during business hours.
