4.55 GB of Housewives
After yesterday's hard disk full problem, I moved lots of files from "Data3" to "Backups" partition, and I completed all Season 1's Desperate Housewives episodes. That's 4.55 GB full of the hottest TV series bought from iTunes Music Store!
So what's the new slogan?
Don't steal music! Don't steal videos! Don't steal TV shows!
I am going to burn the Desperate Housewives season 1 to DVD-R. Yes, iTunes recommends me to make a back up of music (or video) I bought.

I recently purchased my first tv show from itunes (episode of lost) and I called apple and they said that I can burn a copy of this to DVD to back up my files - I inserted a Maxell DVD+R and hit burn and it looked like it completed successfully. I was able to play it from the dvd in itunes. However, I was unable to play it on my dvd player or even using nero show start or Windows media player. Can anyone help? Did I use the wrong kind of DVD recordable device? Is there anything I can do to get this burned to a dvd that I can then play in my dvd player? Thanks.

That's correct. They allow you to backup movies/TV shows you purchased, but the file is still protected and licensed to you. Hence you can't use the burned movie to play on a DVD player directly.
