Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) will be an official guest of department store Myer will be seen at Flemington racecourse.

Longoria, who plays adulterous vixen Gabrielle in the hit series, will attend Derby Day in Melbourne as the official ambassador for department store Myer. She will also be the celebrity judge in the Fashions On The Field contest, which is sponsored by Myer.

Longoria's visit will coincide with a television advertising campaign for Myer, which will be filmed in Los Angeles this week.

DESPERATE Housewives star Eva Longoria will bring some Wisteria Lane style to this year's Spring Racing Carnival when she arrives in Australia later this month.

Longoria, who plays adulterous vixen Gabrielle in the hit series, will attend Derby Day in Melbourne as the official ambassador for department store Myer.
She will also be the celebrity judge in the Fashions On The Field contest, which is sponsored by Myer.

Longoria's visit will coincide with a television advertising campaign for Myer, which will be filmed in Los Angeles this week.

The glamorous brunette will spend Derby Day at the Myer marquee in the Birdcage - one of the most prestigious positions at Flemington racecourse.

Her appearance follows that of Carson Kressley, of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy fame, who was Myer's official guest last year.

Longoria will be the second Desperate Housewives leading lady to visit Australia following Nicollette Sheridan's visit last week to promote lingerie for Hestia.
