Last week on Desperate Housewives, Maisy Gibbons was arrested for prostitution, and Rex's affair was known to the entire neighbourhood. Gabrielle and Carlos could not afford to fix their sewage problem, Bree asked Gabrielle if she had money problems and it was hurt that Gabrielle wouldn't tell her about it. Gabrielle said it was the same as Bree not telling her that Rex was one of Maisy's clients. “Great friends pretend nothing happened,” Gabrielle said, and they both pretended they didn't know each other's humiliating secrets. Bree decided to give the money to Gabrielle instead, for her house repairs. “Good friends offer to help in a crisis. Great friends don't take no for an answer,” she told Gabrielle.

Edie and Susan suspected that Paul was the murderer.
