the story so far...
So what was the story so far...
ChrisI made an announcement post.
I noticed one of the statements claimed in Mozilla 1.7 RC1's Release Notes was not true. The questioning statement: “A new set of icons for files that are associated with Mozilla.”
Then ChrisI said that I can't call that statement was untrue, because new icons did exist on Windows built.
I then said, “a new set of icons for files that are associated with Mozilla” can't be true, because that statement did not specify set any condition. In other words that statement was misleading and false advertising.
ChrisI then said, that statement is still true just a bit vague. And a true statement can have counter examples.
I said a true statement must be true under all its conditions. Hence that statement can't be true.
Then, ChrisI reported a bug in Bugzilla.
I was very unhappy because ChrisI did not verify the Mac platform, and it was all other people's work. ChrisI get his name listed in the Bugzilla's list. In plain words, he took the credit.
(Detail and the argument can be found at this SD701 Message Centre thread.)
