Japan, Korea and China on new Linux
Japan, China and South Korea will consider standardising ways to use the free Linux operating system as a viable alternative to Microsoft Windows, a Japanese government spokesmans said.
Earlier I mentioned Microsoft was complaining Asian countries about new OS. Despite the complain from Microsoft, they are working on this project!
"The agenda of the meeting will include establishment of standards for the use of Linux as our countries aim to share the results of research on open sources," the spokesman added.> Japan, China, Korea talk Linux (Australian IT, 2 April 2004)
