FreeBSD on Mac, speeding up
Two days ago, I got FreeBSD's X11 running on Mac, but to be honest, it was really slow. Well, I can't complain much, since I only have a slow Mac (Power Mac G4 400MHz with 512MB RAM). Today, I configured the FreeBSD, and lowered down the screen resolution from 1024 to 800 by 600. I also re-configured X11 (KDE), removed all eye candy. A lot smoother now.
Well, still not that fast but much better! I need a new Mac!
