I got my dedicated
Yes, I got my dedicated server from ServerMatrix. I chose FreeBSD for the operating system instead of the popular RedHat Linux for a number of reasons.
FreeBSD is a flavour of UNIX, unlike Linux a PC version of UNIX. BSD has a nice history, unlike Linux.
Mac OS X is based on Darwin, a version of Unix based on BSD 4.4 Lite, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and the Mach microkernel.
FreeBSD (and Mac OS X) are the world's safest servers! According to this Macworld UK article.
What do I need a dedicated server? Well, I can combine my external FTP server from UltraUnix.Net, and I have enjoy the privilege of sole user, and best of all, a lot faster message board!
I hope I've made a right move.
