NSW police's internal email system is circulating racist slurs against Aboriginal people, found after two weeks after the death of 17 year old boy which caused riots in Sydney.

The contents of the email, found in four regional stations including the troubled towns of Bourke and Dubbo, were described as “filth and disgust” by Deputy Commissioner David Madden.

The discovery of the email comes just two-and-a-half weeks after a riot in inner-Sydney Redfern, sparked by members of the community who blamed police for the death of a 17-year-old boy.

“Such filth and disgust is inexcusable,” Mr Madden said of the email.
